2010 MG Handbook is available on the Forms page. This web version does not has biography section and the roster removed. It is in PDF format and you will need Adobe Reader in your browser. The version on the link above is for Windows Vista and Windows 7. If you have another operating system (MAC,

Announcements ... - The Nov Membership Meeting will be Sept 8 at 9:00am
at the CLC in Gulf Breeze. The CE topic is Winter Weeds.
- The Fall/Winter
Clothesline order will be placed on Sept. 10. Patricia will be at the Sept. membership meetings to collect
orders. Order forms can be found on the Forms page. Note: No forms will be available at
the meeting; please download them.
- Laurel Wilt which
affects treas in Lauraceae family (redbay, avocado, camphor, pondspice, sassafras, spicebush, etc) has been identified and
confirmed in Panama City (Bay County). This is the first occurance in the Panhandle.
- The First
Annual PBH Monarch Madness Butterfly Festival Photo Contest is open to adults and children from 6 to whenever, both
pro and amateur. More info can be found in the brochure on the FORMS page. An entry form with contest rules
is also available on the FORMS page. Help spread the word.
- Four
Florida Frendly Landscape Pattern Books are available at http://fyn.ifas.ufl.edu/homeowners/publications.htm. The books provide sample plant suggestions and example designs for the four horticultural
regions in Florida.
- Theresa F. will be out of the office attending activities important to her position
at the UF and as horticulture agent. During her absence MGs are needed to staff the office to support
our clients. Please contact Noreen G. to sign up for one or more of the days during the following periods.
Aug. 30 thru Sept 3, Oct. 7 thru 9, Oct. 25 thru 28, and Nov. 19. With the loss of Barry,
she really needs our help.
- The Garden
Mosaics Program at Woodlawn Beach Middle School is being expanded. There will be six sessions
this school year. The first session will be in October with the subject being the Monarch Migration.
This program needs much support. If you wish to volunteer, fill out the Volunteer Application for the Woodlawn
Beach Middle School (a new form is required each year and return it to Joanne Connor. Also,
if your UF check is over three years old, yu much update it (Check with Joanne to see if you are current if you are unsure).

- If you wish to pledge or contribute to the Educational
Greenhouse Project complete the form located on the Forms page and send to Kay O, our Treasurer.

- The Approved CEU list is continually updated. We now have over 100 CEUs approved. See
